Absolutely fantastic salon Offering a great selection of services. Brought my wife for a manicure and pedicure and she loved the experience We will be coming back to check out the massage and facial offerings and for when she needs her nails filled.
Very nice girl did my nails, she was Vietnam she amazingly did my nails and they came out exactly what I wanted. She was very sweet and kind and took me as they were closing. Overall the service was the best thing and they also have a very beautiful set up. I will definitely be back! 💜
The decor was super cute and the people were so nice! The design was super cute but I showed a picture and the nails didn’t reflect that. I’m not a confrontational person so I did not bring up my concerns there but again they were very nice and I can only assume they would have fixed my concern but the issues were pretty bad, the nails very were crooked my pinky fingers and thumbs were great but middle three were brutal, my actual nail is exposed from the side it’s so crooked, one lady started the crooked hand and the other hand is still a bit crooked but better and done by another lady. The acrylic job itself was nice very smooth surface but the part they glue on before the acrylic, isn’t even on my real nail, 4 out of 10 nails are actually in properly. I just had press ons I did myself and they were more strait and on better then these nails. The nails cost 70 dollars which is a good price but I got home and wanted to take them off. I feel so bad that they are such poor quality nails because the people were so nice!
Ken is amazing! It’s honestly hard for me to find a nail tech that does great work and I am so happy after getting my nails done by him. He’s very talented and on top of that was so nice! The Ak salon itself is lovely and clean as well. So many services for enjoining.
Sad to say but after 8+ years of AMAZING service from Kim, I will no longer be returning, and to no fault of Kim. Ocean Nails is under new ownership, and sadly that came with the new manager Von (sp?). Quite possibly the rudest, most confrontational person I have ever met. Not to mention the blatent bullying she subjects the other employees to, while in front of paying clients. And that's before we get into the absolute hack job she did on my nails. When advised that I was dissatisfied with my nails and either wanted them fixed or my money back, her response was "Well I can just cut them off and then I'll give you your money back". Extremely unprofessional lady, and not a good start for the new owners. I was hoping to speak to the owners prior to writing this review, but found no contact info. There is much more to how Von responded when addressed, and it was highly unprofessional and quite frankly inappropriate. I am not the only one in the area that has had similar experiences with the new management. I hope this is taken seriously, as Von has made it clear that she has no regard for this business and the potential consequences her actions may have. Again, 8+ years, ZERO ISSUES. Kim is absolutely wonderful, extremely talented, and a joy to be around. Ocean Nails should be greateful they have her. For anyone still planning on booking- Book with Kim, AVOID VON AT ALL COSTS.
